UCCS Real Estate Policy Lectureship and White Paper Competition 2016

February 19, 2016

Dear Colleagues:

UC Center Sacramento is pleased to announce the UCCS Housing, Land Use and Development Public Lectureship and White Paper Competition.  Faculty from diverse fields are encouraged to submit proposals addressing key questions related to housing affordability and housing policy. Examples of topics for the program include (but are not limited to): 1) housing affordability and finance; 2) real estate issues related to land use, urban planning, and transportation; 3) quality-of-life within communities as it relates to housing, land use, or urban planning; 4) “inequality of place” (spatial inequality) as affected by real estate-related policy); or 5) public investment in education and the impact on homeownership.

Priority will be given to those submissions that include collaboration with graduate students. The winner will be invited to prepare a white paper and deliver a public lecture to Capitol policymakers in Sacramento in December 2016.  A research fund of up to $15,000 will be made available to support editorial and research costs.
